This week Indrė Kunigėlytė became the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Lithuanian Airports. A total of nine candidates participated in the search that took almost two months. Until now, I. Kunigėlytė held the position of the Head of Economic Analysis and Public Procurement at Lithuanian Airports.

Before joining the team of Lithuanian Airports, I. Kunigėlytė held senior position in Ignitis Group. The new CFO at Lithuanian Airports completed legal studies at King's College London, studied at Sorbonne University in Paris, she graduated from ISM University where she completed the Executive Master Programme studies in Financial Strategy and Management.

According to Marius Gelžinis, the CEO of Lithuanian Airports, the latter change is good proof that the enterprise has managed to build a strong internal team of professionals, and at the same time it is an example of the growth of the internal talents of the organisation.

‘We are pleased that we have managed to invite very strong candidates to participate in the selection process. It should be noted that Indrė demonstrated her competence both in her previous capacity and during the process of the selection to the position of the new head. And her broad spectrum of knowledge and a reasoned strategic approach to financial management led to the fact that we are entering a phase of active recovery of aviation together with the new head of important department, who has extensive experience of work in the organisation’, - says M. Gelžinis.

The search for the new CFO of Lithuanian Airports was carried out by an executive recruitment firm Master Class Lithuania.

‘I am grateful for your trust in me and for choosing me to take this position during the challenging period full of various changes. I believe that the coming year will be special because the organisation will be transformed into a Public Limited Liability Company. Also, in order to restore the former activity volumes, we will be busy working on increasing investment in the infrastructure improvement, we will focus on the efficiency of financial management processes’, - comments I. Kunigėlytė.
