From January 14, Dainius Čiuplys, Head of the Operations and Infrastructure Department of all three airports, ceases to hold office at Lithuanian Airports, and will be replaced in this position by Arnas Dūmanas, the long-term employee of the airports, who until now has been heading the Project Management Department.

‘Dainius decided to make changes in his career, and we want to thank him on behalf of the entire team for his initiative, for the continuity of key projects he managed to maintain together with the team, and for the grandiose projects that have been implemented, for the optimisation processes and the deployment of good management principles. At the same time, we are glad that Arnas Dūmanas, who perfectly illustrates the successful internal culture of cultivating the talents of our employees, will join our team of top executives. Arnas repeatedly demonstrated, in various projects, his exclusive competencies, he has actively engaged himself in the planning of future strategic projects at their early stages’, - said Marius Gelžinis, CEO of Lithuanian Airports.

A. Dūmanas has been working for Lithuanian Airports for about ten years, and in the recent period he has been leading the team of project management professionals. The new head of the Operations and Infrastructure Department at the airports has graduated from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH), where he completed the undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering, and from ISM University of Management and Economics, where he completed postgraduate studies in management.

‘I believe very much that the importance of teamwork, experience sharing, freedom of decision and open communication allow people to improve and grow. I have always felt these values in the organisation of Lithuanian Airports, and I will try to convey them in further daily activities’, - said A. Dūmanas.

According to him, during the preceding year, the main emphasis was placed on the projects of reconstruction of Palanga and Vilnius airport aerodromes, and it is now time to give priority to the construction of a new departure terminal of Vilnius Airport.

‘Together with the team we plan to start implementing in Vilnius in the middle of this year the project of construction of the departure terminal. This project opens up opportunities of having higher passenger throughput at the airports, significantly higher quality of the services and their wider range both in the new terminal and in the existing ones, because the latter would be modernized. We will pay special attention in both this and other projects to environmental protection, renewable energy sources and automated IT solutions, which would allow us to make the operations more efficient’, - A. Dūmanas told about the priorities for the activities.
